this is an opinion…no violent reactions needed….
i was watching pinoy big brother the other night and i took time to reflect on what’s happening…what is wrong with them? i noticed that they were told not to puff a single cigarette at that time….why are they acting like they so needed it badly like they can’t be breathing without a nicotine-filled thing infusing their lungs?! eeww! some may read this and say that "hhmmm..ur right" or something like, " leave them with their own business.they have minds of their own." or worse, "what do you care!?, labot mo man ya?"…i also feel akward but people should be aware that cigarettes aren’t just cigarretes! smoking is not just smoking! i am against smoking, obviously…it doesn’t bring us any good…except for temporary feel-good moments maybe..but smoking is really icky! speaking of it makes me furious!! yuck!yuck!yuck! how can people stand it? the smell is just horrible! what people don’t think at the moment is that smoking kills them softly….there are a-z results presented when u smoke..a is for addiction..for the smoker housemates, this is their case…b is for bad breath, c-cancer, d-death, e-emphysema and so on…… most of the respiratory diseases are caused by smoking in a large percentage… can u imagine death creeping into every alveoli in your lungs, collapsing them one by one? next, thing you know, you’re already six feet under the ground….that is when the letter "z" result comes in, ZZzzzzZzz……bye!
how i wish people would stop smoking because not only smokers could be dead..also people around them via second hand smoke..see? and it is more dangerous because people would inhale more wastes than smokers didu are not only killing youself, others,too…initially, smokers don’t give a damn on healthy living…look at youngsters of today…many of them smoke because they want to feel accepted in the society, they want to belong….i am reminded whenever i go to smallville…people there, guy or girl, are smoking endless like exhaust pipes of a car…pakitang-tao lang…and it is so irritating on my part and at the same time sad…do u really have to smoke to belong? u might not know it but as a tagline in a movie say, "if you are accepted, it doesn’t mean you belong"…u can always be yourself because u can be respected more..u don’t need to be accepted in a group that deep in your heart u feel that you don’t belong to..there will always be a right time and a right place for you..remember, everything is planned..God is good..He knows what He is doing..believe…..
pls. don’t get me wrong.i respect smokers for they are people but i am just against that habit..i don’t care if you smoke a hundered sticks per day.what i care about is your health and that of the others. so pls. if u are guilty, find the right time to gain awareness and discipline so that we can all live in a healthy world..we can do this…
next, i wonder why only uma,sam,cass,blah,blah are the talk of the town when PBB is the topic? how about nene? why do u think she is not famous in the house? without thinking deeply, this depicts our voice, our attitudes today…you can be fascinated by a thing or two if you can somehow relate to it, right? a beautician would not be interested to read discussions on car engines…this is also same with our reactions toward the housemates..look at those "popular ones"…aren’t they irritating at some times? do they posses the "heart" and values that we sought after in persons we want in our lives?…nene might be "unpopular" but i think only she has the values that matter most.(no preference intended)…so the next time you watch the show, try to observe them and apply what you’ve learned in psychology..it can help..
last, why are they letting the people vote for who stays and who goes? viewers don’t know who they are.even if they will watch the show 24/7, they will never know the truth about their lives…the deep sentiments of the housemates can’t be bared in just watching them…there is a big difference to watch them and to be with them….the housemates themselves should be the one to decide who will be booted out…obviously, what abs-cbn is trying to do is to gain millions as possible…with the voting,and the "sam mania" they’ve created these past episodes, these are the manifestations of greed…hehe..it was an exaggeration…what i mean is, they’ve created the show to gain money not to gain new knowledge coming from these people who are near pathetic! isn’t it obvious?? that is the result of putting to much effort to be at the top..but that’s another story….
well,i can’t put a stop to that..we cant… all we have to do is watch the show with awareness and strong values…the show is enjoyable but you must be firm to your values in order to make the most out of it……
i hope that your perception regarding the show could be heightened after reading this…comments are always welcome…….
