people are fascinating..

  • sometimes. people watching can be fun! especially if you’re so bummed up you’ve got nothing to do but to watch people in their most fascinating environment: the streets!
  • i was looking at the balcony the other day and i decided to people watch.
  • i saw a variety of homo sapiens executing their own stunts in the streets. It was like a huge experiment with me looking in a bird’s eye view. it was fun!!
  • For instance, i was just talking about one of my pet peeves which is a boyfriend carrying the cute-sy shoulder bag of a girlfriend!then a few second later, i saw a couple doing the thing! ooh! it just gets me on my nerves..i’m sure girlfriend can manage to carry a shoulder bag the size of a short brown envelope but a bit fatter! it’s not man enough!
  • Encounter #2 were several groups of students in their uniforms fresh from school..it just tells you that is dismissal time for the schoolboys.
  • Next is, several men not being able to hold their bladder and pissed on the side of a wall..what a typical pinoy scene!
  • Next subject is a flower delivery man who handled a bouquet of fresh colors like he is serving a meal in a restaurant tray. his hand was stretched out in front of him to accommodate the flowers on his hands and arm. i was kinda hoping he’d deliver those in my gates though..i’m feeling hopeless romantic lately since i’m crushing on someone and i never thought i would knew something about him..haha!
  • i’ve also got an eye for cute cars. but what i have seen are mostly taxis who need a good scrub. the doors are covered in dirt. its just funny that most of the taxis passing there was dirty. i thought they came from the airport which are towns away from the city. as always, seeing beetles is always fun. i wonder where the "marka bao phenomenon" came from? i just couldn’t see it in the net..but i saw a scene in one episode of one tree hill that haley slaps peyton in the head when she saw a volks bug..then i knew that its not one of those "onli in da pilipins" thing! i’m always fascinated with beetles. i wanna have one. in yellow!haha..
  • Encounter #4 was a college girl who walks as stiff as a stick. her hands are not swaying at the side and she walks slow. i have noticed her walking in front of our house the other time i people watched and i guess she really walks that way..hehe..am i so bad/critical/just-got-nothing-to-do, or am i not??
  • i also saw one former classmate. i’m glad he saw me standing in the balcony. we just waved at each other.
  • as the sun begins to really set, a couple of children gather around the pile of garbage across the street to find some "treasures". some of them found empty bottles, plastics and cartons which they placed in their trusty sack. I saw a man who threatened the other "trash scavenger" that the baranggay captain is coming and he doesn’t want to see those garbages scattered around. those people then left with just a small piece of trash. minutes later, i saw the same man searching for his "treasure". i said to myself, gosh! people will just fool you to get their own personal gain! i really learned to not give your full trust to anyone based on past experiences!
  • it was about a quarter past six in the afternoon that i finally went inside the house with a thought on my head: "people are diverse but they are truly fascinating". Life is really good when it gives us instances wherein we can reflect and learn by simply looking…the art of people watching..
