Pure Perfection...

Today was the season finale of One Tree Hill Season 6. It was just pure beauty and perfection!! I loved every minute of it and I was crying the whole time!! Yes, the whole 41 minutes of it! I always cry when watching the previous episodes but this is the first time that I cried during the entire episode. This is Tree Hill at its beauty and finest!

Lucas carrying Peyton in the hospital...Washing his hands and looking at his wedding ring...Friends coming to his side one by one...Lucas holding baby Scott...Julian bringing magazines to Brooke...Peyton waking up...Karen holding the baby and handing it to Peyton...Nathan joining the Bobcats...Haley hugging Nathan for making it...Jamie hugging his dad for making it...Karen talking to Lucas in the front porch...Chase and Mia...Mouth and Milly...Whitey hugging Dan...Victoria having a change of heart...Brooke talking to Peyton...Peyton naming her daughter Sawyer Brooke...Brooke and Julian kissing under the lighted trees...Nathan, Haley and Jamie walking in the Bobcats' court...Lucas driving the Comet...Peyton seeing the Comet....Them driving off with Sawyer Brooke at the end...They even made voice overs at the end of the episode..It was just beyond what my heart can handle! It was pure bliss and perfection!

I just wonder how the hell will Mark Schwann, the writer/producer, outdo himself on the 7th season now that Chad Michael Murray (Lucas) and Hilarie Burton (Peyton) won't be part of the show anymore. This episode should just be the end of it all! This, I believe, should be the final-final season finale. Today's episode was just soo encompassing that it was beyond beauty! It was perfection!! It was just the realization of all their dreams. And with Whitey and Karen appearing back on the show, you couldn't ask for more!

AAaaaaaaahhhhhh! I cannot contain my emotions! It was during lunch time that I watched it and until now, I still feel it! I watched it twice and still got teary eyed the second time around! I cannot believe I am "over reacting" now. But One Tree Hill is the only show that could make me do this. I am going ga-ga over OTH!! And I won't deny it! I don't care what people say. When something touches you, you have to affirm it. hehe! It is a beautiful, beautiful show that touched every fiver of my being. And I'm sure all you Tree Hill fans out there would agree. This show not only touches a part of you but it gratifies your whole sense of self! I can't get enough of it!!!!

I am just sad that Lucas and Peyton won't be seen next season. The season ender did not even give a definite goodbye to them. Unless, driving off is symbolic. But I'm still hoping for a guest appearance...huhuhuhu!!! I am going sentimental for days now. I even cried one night. I am thinking about the many friendships that I started and formed just because of this show and mainly because of Lucas Scott and Peyton Sawyer. To my OTH buddies...Manang Kim, Marian, Flora, Gem and some others whom I "OTH-ed".... (sniff, sniff..) It is not over until we place a period. "Believe that dreams come true everyday, because they do."

haaay..One Tree Hill...I will love you forever!! I will even make my kids watch it! haha! This is the show that I can relate mostly. Not only on the "people always leave" part but mostly on the genuine friendship and relationship formed with friends and families. I just see life in all its matter, form and beauty in it! It really shows you the fullness of the drama that is life. I can barely believe that it has been 6 years and the next season would probably be the last...huhuhu!

hazel is spelled S-T-U-P-I-D

Today, I was awakened by the sound of Mr. Bean's cartoon theme. My phone was ringing. Somebody was calling me at 6 in the morning. Nevertheless, that was not a phone call. All I heard were an enthusiastic "Hi Haze!" and my sleepy "Hello?" and "Hmm?" then the call went off. Well, I wouldn't call that interruption of deep slumber since it was so timely that my eyes opened a couple of seconds before my phone rang. I was surprised more than I was startled. (Ngirit ngirit lang da ang may sala ah...hahaha! Hirihi pa kun gusto mo!) I have an inkling what was that phone call for. And I was right about it. That certain earthling passed the NCLEX. (Congrats!! You deserve it!) I was not mindful that my sleep was disturbed. What bothered me was that I was not able to get back to dreamland immediately. I was worried that I may not be able to sleep anymore considering that I lack one. I returned to dreamland around an hour and a half after. (Today's dreamland adventure is another story. My crazy dreams striked again.)

.

Anyway, what I was saying is how in the world that I lack sleep. That night I slept at around the same time. But the BIG BUT there, is that I was exhausted. Yesterday, my whole being was just transformed into a plain dumb idiotic stupid moron! Excuse the diction. Usually, even if I sleep late, it is because that I am watching TV, chatting or doing stuffs in the net. This things do not harrass me. This things may relax me. But last night (Tues), I was cramming up my homework to be passed tomorrow (Thurs). I did not realize that this week was already exam week! I asked our professor last week if we will pass our assignment on Tuesday, she said that we will submit it on the exam week. I did not realize that this week is already exam week! We will have our exams tomorrow. TOMORROW FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! I am such a shithead!!!! Daw sa gaga lang! hahaha! And so, after I got home, I logged on to start working on the 5 theorists.

.

And as I logged on Yahoo Messenger, I saw THE offline message that much more affirmed that I am a big bird brain! I saw Manang Kim's message. We talked before I left for school that day. Not to mention that at noon time, I was confused of the time of our class..2 PM or 3?? I decided it was 3 since my intuition is strong about it. Anyway, the offline message said, "OK, Bye...malantaw pa ko di sang TV Tuesdays ta." UH-OH!!! Today is actually Tuesday. TV Tuesdays. One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl day. And I effin' FORGOT!!!!

.

Preoccupation was never a problem. Anything was never a problem. Anything never came in my way to forgot watching those TV shows! That day was just not me. The dummy bug has taken over my whole already dummy being. This is just unforgivable! How can I forget to watch One Tree Hill that it has become a routine since last year! How can I possibly forget the highlight of my every Tuesday? This is unforgivable!!! haha! Even if anyone won't know I haven't watched it, I feel like I owe it to myself. To cynics out there, I am an addict. Deal with it! And so I hurriedly find a link in the net for me to watch it. The Gossip Girl link was not working and until now, I haven't watched it yet but I can deal with it. Luckily, God still loves stupid people like me, the One Tree Hill link was loading, slowly, very slowly loading. At least it did. And so, I used that time to motivate myself to work on my homework.

I rammed through internet sites, did the usual copy/paste from my books and the sites and voila! I finished 3 theorists that night just as the link was already fully loaded. At first I confused myself as to the number of theorists I will be working on. I knew it was 5. But when I looked at my notes, I only have 4 listed. So that gave me a relief. But later on, as I browsed the syllabus, I saw that it was really 5! Shit! I remembered I did not include Erik Erikson in my notes since he is already in the book that I brought. See, how distraught I am that day?! Lesson learned? Follow your first instinct. And as Sr. George said this afternoon on our Spirituality of St. Paul class, "Your first gut feel is actually God speaking to you."...Makes really good sense!

So, that was the tale of how hazel is now spelled S-T-U-P-I-D.

I am happy that today, I finished my assignment ready for tomorrow! Wish me luck for tomorrow's exam! Thank God Grad School exams are open book ones!

who will be the next American Idol?

American Idol has been one of my favorite reality shows since its Season 3. Tonight, it all came down to the Top 5 of Season 7 and it was Rat Pack (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Samuel Davis,etc) Night.

.

Standard is one of my favorite genres because of its classic touch and timelessness. (In shorter terms, because it's old..hehe!) Some of the best songs belong to this genre and I think it was quite fitting to set tonight into a jazzy and tender mood after last week's discorama.

.

I was quite disappointed that they don't sing two songs like they used to in the past seasons when the contestants have been lowered down in number. (Or maybe, it is not up yet.) I am not really quite sure if double song numbers were also up last year..hehe!

.

Oh well, I was telling myself to make song reviews when they hit the Top 5. Because by then, I know that the best will remain, sparing me sheer dumb luck performances. And besides, 5 songs is not exhaustive to review..hehe...So, here we go!

1. Kris Allen's The Way You Look Tonight -- This is one of my favorite songs since then! I love Kris' take on this song. He captured the tenderness of the song which is supposed to swoon all ladies away. It is really hard to comment on the technical side when the one who sings is a charmer! haha! I have week knees on cute guys who sing, and I mean sing well! Plus, I love the song first and foremost. I think Kris sang it well enough. He gave it his own twist (and not just the lip twist). The somewhat acoustic and jazzy feel to it was good to the ears (and eyes). Star Points: 9/10

2. Allison Iraheta's Someone to watch over me -- This is another great song. I just wish that Allison took it into a lighter tone but her rough voice gave it an edge. It was refreshing to see her not take on a rock song this time. But I wish she softened it up a little bit. The song has an innocent feel to it along with a tender, flowy tone. I can see this better on the likes of Katharine McPhee whi has that sooth, clean voice who can lull you to sleep. Star Points: 8/10

.

3. Matt Giraud's My Funny Valentine -- I heard this song first on Matt Damon's music video from the movie, The Talented Mr. Ripley. This is one of those great American Standards that I believe is very hard to sing. There was definitely some pitch points in Matt's performance. Of all contestants, he should be the one to nail this week since he has a ground on jazz. I would like him to take upbeat songs ang showcase his dueling piano act. Tonight was just a plain "hotel performance" for me. It needed a bigger oomph considering that this is the Top 5 and you have to fight for it! And, he has to prove to America that the judges' save on him is worth it. The end of the song was good though. Star Points: 6.9/10

4. Danny Gokey's Come Rain or Come Shine -- Another natural charmer form Day 1! I love Danny Gokey! He just pierces right into your heart and soul the moment he sings a note! Again, it is hard to focus on the notes when the one singing makes you just stare at him and marvel through his eyes..haha! Though this week isn't that good as his Jesus Takes The Wheel rendition, it was better than Matt's..hehe! Star Points: 8/10

.

5. Adam Lambert's Feeling Good -- Another week of his high pitched rocker screams. I feel like every performance I am waiting for him to do a rock sign down across his face along with a tongue out everytime he belts it out. haha! He is good and unique but that version of Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire scared the hell out of me! From then on, I see him as an evil tempter! hahaha! Weird! But he is really good. He is a stellar performer! Star Points: 7.5/10

Good performances this week! hehe! clap, clap, clap!

Let me just comment on the judges for a little bit:

• Randy Jackson - reasonable
• Kara DioGuardi - Thank God you were included this season! She gives constructive criticisms which are direct and also reasonable
• Paula Abdul - a blunt catalyst (hello worthless! haha...)
• Simon Cowell - still a favorite! love those creative lines!

So, Danny vs. Adam in the finals anyone?!
