crazy up and downs

irked and bored..not a good combination..

our internet connection has been down for almost a week now. I am not the most patient person in slow internet connections. The connection has been intermittent. I called up the PLDT DSL customer service this afternoon hoping that i could find the answers i'm looking for. well, I did not find it. what i found was myself, waddling knee deep in a puddle of my own nasal secretions. (i've always wanted to use this line after i got to read it from the book, "Why Do Men Have Nipples?"--fun, smart book!)

Translation? NOSEBLEED!! I am not really sure if it was from the techy lingo the personnel used when he guided me through the troubleshooting or it was me speaking in tagalog! I really tried to sound tagalog but i was not sure what accent came out. I kept the conversation more like "ok..ok..yup..naka check sya..ok..wait lang..then?..uh huh..hmmm..wait..yah..ok..wait..yup.." The "wait" part was me trying to decipher if I really know what I'm doing or I am just a dummie in technology! Of course I also injected a couple of full sentences in tagalog! (tongue out!)

Anyway, I'll keep this short since I am taking advantage of the "up" in the intermittent connection we have. (Apparently, there's nothing wrong with MIG and the signal in our area..Dunno what's wrong..)

I forgot to watch American Idol live! grr! I was doing some research for my grad school assignments during one of the "up" times of the connection earlier. (Can you believe it? 12 units na ko after a couple of weeks more! haha!) I just realized that I forgot to watch it as I heard Anoop Desai singing when my sister switched channels. And as I prepare to lift my butt up and go to the living room, Tito Nonoy had just grabbed the most powerful gadget of all and switched the channel. Shocks and smuckers! That was quick! My butt haven't even lifted a millimeter! I'm catching it now on primetime. (harhar)

I just wanted to say in additional that I was overwhelmed by the comments left in my previous post..hehe! You guys are right and I was also thinking the same. It's just that sometimes a shadow blinds you when you are down just as I said in my reply to your comments. But now, I'm up again..hehe! crazy girl! actually after I wrote that entry I already realized that there is so much good than there is bad. So, yeah..best of both worlds! thanks mucho!

• ok, so i watched the movie When Harry Met Sally on V-day night. It was just a plain ol' movie for my mood that night. I thought that I've never seen that movie before but some scenes are just familiar that I may have watched bits and pieces of it before. I should have watched Death Becomes Her. It may sound gory but it's just an old comedy involving twisted necks and a hole in the stomach! Those are the scenes that are stuck in my head since then and surprisingly, those are seen in the movie poster itself! haha! Click the link to view it. I love that movie since I was a kid!

• Also, that night, I discovered that I was not expected to liquidate the cash registers! Darn it! I should have left them alone and spare me the dust and runny nose!

• I just read the Feb 14 papers yesterday. It was said there that Valentines day is SAD. Single Awareness Day! V-day is just one day for love, I have the rest of the year to love! now, ain't that grand?! haha!

• Yesterday was my brother's birthday! He's 13 already! Time flies! As we got home after dinner, I felt "techy". I installed the free DVD player we got from Sun Cellular plans which was lying beneath mama's drawer in their room. OK, that sounded very techy. All I did was just really to place the red, yellow and white cords to the player and the other end connected to the TV and plug the plug. Haha! that's simple, i so thought. So the first disc to go through? My One Tree Hill Season One DVD! There's really no surprise there. I missed that thing! They will go back airing on March, what am I supposed to do? Starve my soul to death? One Tree Hill is soul food!

• I can still remember I started on One Tree Hill marathons last December of 2007. We were practicing our capping ceremony those weeks. As every practice ended, I hurry up to get home just to have more time to watch the series. I was lucky that there were no homeworks or tests or lengthy NCPs that time! I get to watch 3-5 episodes every day after I get home. That was how I get more hooked with the series that I will forever love.

• Funny how until now, I can still remember what lines will be uttered next in some scenes even if I have only watched it once. I can still remember what a character would exactly react or do in some particular scenes. I am still moved by the same lines all over again. I haven't get to the tearing up part but I guess, I'll still cry on the same scenes!

• I feel nostalgic. I feel like my stomach twitched last night as I saw whitey again in the first episode. (OK, you can laugh at how dramatic I can get...) gosh! I missed that baldie! Peyton's hair was a mess! Haley looked geeky, and Brooke, well, a brainless slut, as quoted by her. Nathan and Lucas also looked and acted different. Not to mention Skills! haha! The rivercourt boys really looked like underdogs! haha!

• Oh well, that's life, we just need to grow up and leave the trash behind!

• I have to work on my assignment now. I have to take an OTH break to watch an episode of House, MD for the assignment. ( Dr. House is seen holding a Dhanzel balloon in the poster. Now that made me smile! haha!) Click on the green links!

• he has also viewed mine..only twice..we'll he has nothing to gain from my site since it's purely an online shop..i don't have a personal account here..although i must say multiply's community is way better than friendster's..but i would like to keep an account which is updated,hence my friendster account.

• back to the subject. i have not been bothered by the being that is pablo banila..i think he's quite wierd though.. i have heard of him on a number of blogs and profiles..but i haven't thought it to be disturbing until I've read an article of him last weekend on The Inquirer pages. and not until i've discovered this afternoon that he viewed my friendster page! uh oh! i don't know how he came into my page..it's just mere coincidence, i should know..if he's some sort of a hacker then it will still be quite impossible for him to track my friendster account since im using a different email address. and when i opened his account, it says something like "user suspended". i don't know why friendster suspended him but im sure it's because he's been doing the same thing here to everybody there.

• i have not been opening my friendster account for about a week or so now..so i don't really know when he viewed me and how long until he was "suspended". this is creepy.

• pablo banila is, well, multiply's most hated cyber stalker, to quote. although it makes me think of peyton sawyer and her psycho derek. (for one tree hill fans, u know what i mean! hehe!) the last part makes me just smile and shrug it off though! hehe!

vexed by technology!

i am not a TECHIE!! definition: i hate ridiculous technology!! computers never fails to vex me!! grrr!!!

i was working on a report a while ago while microsoft word went nuts!!what i was working on was not saved! although it was the last pages of the entire thing, it’s still the LAST PAGES!!! don’t you hate those moments!!!

i always have those moments most of the time.. no wonder computers and i are never the best of friends!! i hate computers!! they give me a knock in the head!

why are they very timely to fail when u are in most need and you are in rush?? why do i always experience technological failure when i needed it most?? funny. wierd.

what a bummer it is when both people and technology are not cooperating. it is really much better to trust your innate capabilities in times like these…

i can never love computers!
